The farmers market at the Southeast Event Centre is returning to downtown Steinbach for its second season. Residents can visit the market starting June 16, 2026, with events running every Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. through September 29.
The outdoor market takes place in the centre’s parking lot, using an L-shaped layout along Reimer Avenue and Elmdale Street. It features a variety of local vendors offering fresh produce, baking, honey and beeswax products, candles, woodwork, crochet, clothing, pet products, skincare, flowers, seeds, and plants.
The City of Steinbach officially opened the facility in 2025, and the market was approved by city council shortly after. Mayor Earl Funk has highlighted the importance of the project for the community, noting that a downtown farmers market had been needed for many years.
The venue is operated by the Southeast Events Group, a non-profit organization, while the city retains ownership of the property. The market serves as one of many community activities hosted at the site, supporting local businesses in one of Canada’s fastest-growing cities.
