United Way Perth-Huron is launching a new online 50/50 raffle called Meat and Moolah, with tickets on sale now. The 14-week event runs until November 30 and gives residents a chance to win cash and locally sourced meats while supporting community programs.
Tickets cost $5 each, 10 for $10, 50 for $20, or 200 for $50. Buyers can enter five draws, each featuring meat prizes from Perth-Huron producers. The grand prize on November 30 includes half of gross ticket sales plus a Smoker prize pack with meat valued at $800 from 5 Chicks and a Farmer.
Earlier draws offer bacon from McIntosh Farms, a Pitmaster box from Green’s Meat Market and Abattoir, a curated meat box from JC Cattle Co., and a premium beef bundle from Van Osch Farms Premium Beef. All prizes come from local farms and businesses in the region.
Money raised supports United Way’s annual campaign, which funds 40 programs including the Stratford Connection Centre and housing initiatives through United Housing. The 2025-26 campaign goal was $2,529,770, and this raffle is part of the 2026-27 effort led by Stratford-Perth campaign co-chairs Marian deWever and June Leitch. The official campaign kickoff is Friday, September 18 at Market Square in downtown Stratford with a community lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
