Residents in The Pas who are interested in running for local office can now officially register as candidates for the upcoming municipal election on October 28, 2026. The Town of The Pas posted a formal notice on April 29, 2026, opening the registration window for prospective candidates.
Registering with the Senior Election Official is required before candidates may begin to accept contributions, incur expenses, fundraise, or borrow money for their campaign. Those wishing to run for head of council may register starting May 1, 2026, while those interested in councillor positions can begin on June 30, 2026. All candidate registrations must be completed by September 22, 2026.
Registrations will be accepted at the Town of The Pas office at 81 Edwards Avenue, during regular business hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To obtain a registration form, prospective candidates can pick one up at the town office or contact Senior Election Official Julie Fothergill at 204-281-3415 or [email protected].
