Local non-profits and community groups can now apply for a cash boost to kickstart new projects through the The Pas Community Renewal Corporation’s Small Grants Fund.
The 2026-27 Small Grants Fund is accepting applications until January 31, 2027, with up to $5,000 available per project. All funds must be spent by February 20, 2027.
To qualify, projects must be barrier-free, meaning free to attend and accessible to people with disabilities. They also need to take place within the Town of The Pas. The fund is open to non-profit organizations, community-based organizations, and community groups with a bank account located in The Pas or the Tri-Community area, which includes the Rural Municipality of Kelsey and Opaskwayak Cree Nation.
The grants are meant to support new small projects that bring people together. The goal is to give startup support to pilot programs and events that may continue and grow in the future. Projects should fit with one of the six priority areas identified in the TPCRC plan: Crime and Safety, Parks and Recreation, Housing, Physical Environment/Image and Pride, Community Economic Development, and Community Wellness and Wellbeing.
