The Pas RCMP and a specialized provincial police team are searching for 30-year-old Draven Lester Mercredi in connection with a homicide that occurred in February 2026. The investigation involves the death of a 33-year-old man from Opaskwayak Cree Nation who was found with life-threatening injuries at a home in The Pas, Manitoba.
On February 27, 2026, officers arrived at a residence on Connaught Avenue around 2:15 a.m. following reports of an assault. The victim died at the hospital, and police have already arrested two other men, Joey Campbell and Nicholas Halcrow-Jewels, who are both charged with second-degree murder.
A specialized task force known as the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit is now working to find Mercredi, who is also wanted for second-degree murder. He is described as having short dark hair, a black goatee, and tattoos on his neck.
Police say Mercredi has known connections to The Pas, Moose Lake, and Thompson. Anyone who sees him or has information on where he might be is asked to contact the local police detachment at 204-627-6204 or call Crime Stoppers to leave an anonymous tip.
