Two women are facing charges after an investigation into a robbery in The Pas, Manitoba. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police received a report on April 12, 2026, regarding an incident that took place the previous day.
According to police, a 55-year-old woman was targeted after she informed two individuals she could not drive them to Winnipeg due to a family emergency. The victim reported that the suspects punched her, sprayed her with bear mace, and stole her cash. The individuals then allegedly forced the woman to withdraw additional funds from an automated teller machine before taking her to a residence in The Pas, where she was drugged and eventually fell asleep.
When the victim woke up, her vehicle, phone, and wallet were missing. Following an investigation, police located the stolen vehicle in Winnipeg on April 13, 2026, with both suspects inside.
The two women were arrested at the scene. One suspect, a 32-year-old woman from The Pas, has been charged with forcible confinement, theft of a vehicle over $5,000, and possession of a prohibited weapon. Charges are currently pending against the second suspect, a 24-year-old woman from Pukatawagan.
