The Environment Canada forecast shows showers arriving Thursday morning, with 5 to 10 millimetres of rain expected. Winds will pick up from the northwest at 30 km/h, gusting to 50 km/h in the afternoon, and the high will only reach 16°C. The risk of a thunderstorm adds an extra element to watch for as the system passes through.
Once this system moves out, the weekend is shaping up to be a pleasant one. Sunny skies are expected Friday and Saturday, with highs of 20°C each day, climbing to 22°C on Sunday. That will give residents a welcome break from the damp weather and a good chance to enjoy outdoor plans.
