Residents of Thompson, Manitoba, have a variety of new recreational opportunities to enjoy this month at the Thompson Regional Community Centre. The facility is hosting several new programs throughout May, ranging from sports and wellness activities to certification courses.
In response to community interest, the centre has added a second session of its guided meditation and sound bath program on May 5, 2026. Additionally, a Canadian Red Cross babysitters course is set for May 9, 2026, providing local youth with the opportunity to gain certification.
Looking further into the month, the centre will host the Warrior Rhythm Roots cultural program from May 31 to June 14, 2026. These new offerings follow a busy spring for the facility, which hosted the 2026 Manitoba Games in March.
The community centre serves as the city’s primary indoor hub, housing two arenas, a fitness centre, a multi-sport gym, and an indoor walking track. General fitness centre and walking track hours are 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for members and 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for non-members.
