The Town of Tillsonburg, Ontario, has announced the 2026 class of inductees for the local Sports Hall of Fame. A formal ceremony to celebrate the group will take place on May 21, 2026, at the Tillsonburg Community Centre.
This year’s athletes include tennis standouts Judy, Karen, and Christine Liwanpo, as well as Remy Donaldson. They will be joined by builder Steve Garnham and the 1985 Senior Men’s Tillsonburg Legion Track & Field Club Cross Country Running Team.
Hockey Hall of Fame member and Stanley Cup champion Colin Campbell will also be recognized during the event. He is set to receive a Lifetime Achievement Recognition for his long career and contributions to the sport.
The selection process was updated this year to include a new system that awards points based on information provided in the applications. Councillor Chris Parker, who chairs the Recreation and Sports Advisory Committee, said the change helped make the decision process much smoother and faster than in the past.
The Sports Hall of Fame was established in 2003 to recognize the work of local athletes, coaches, and builders. Residents are invited to attend the May ceremony to see the new members officially added to the hall.
