A two-day event called Symposium 2026 is bringing student creative projects to Kitchener, Ontario, starting on March 21, 2026. Organized by Socratica, the gathering highlights the work of makers, artists, and tech enthusiasts from the Waterloo region.
The University of Waterloo is promoting the event as a free showcase for students to share their passion projects. This year the event has grown from its previous home in a hockey arena in Waterloo to a multi-site experience across Kitchener.
The first day takes place at Centre In The Square and focuses on the creative steps and stories behind the projects. On the second day, the event moves to The Tannery where visitors can see more than 65 hands-on demonstrations.
The showcase includes a mix of art and technology projects created by students and local tinkerers. Organizers say the goal is to give creative people a place to share their work and connect with the community.
