Monday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 21 C. Environment Canada notes a 30 percent chance of showers in the afternoon, along with a risk of a thunderstorm. Winds will become west at 20 km/h, and the UV index is expected to reach 5, or moderate.
Tuesday brings a similar risk of a thunderstorm and a 30 percent chance of showers, with a high around 21 C. Wednesday looks cloudier with a chance of showers or a thunderstorm and a high near 18 C, while Thursday brings showers and a high of 16 C. Total rainfall mid-week could be around 5 to 6 mm, according to The Weather Network. June is typically the wettest month in Watson Lake, averaging about 58 to 61 mm of rain over roughly nine days.
By Friday, expect cloudy skies with a high near 20 C. Conditions should improve by Saturday, which will be mainly sunny with a high of 22 C — a great day for hiking or checking out the famous Sign Post Forest. Watson Lake is known as the Gateway to the Yukon, with over 65 km of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing.
