Stouffville drivers should plan for temporary road closures and traffic slowdowns from September 9 to 11 while a film production shoots in the community. The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville issued a filming notice on August 28, 2026, advising residents that production vehicles and equipment will be on local roads to keep filming operations safe.
On Wednesday, September 9, intermittent traffic control will be in place on Norbett Drive between 5 PM and 11 PM for drone and picture-car filming. York Regional Police will supervise traffic stops, which may hold vehicles for short periods. Additional intermittent traffic control is scheduled on Woodbine Avenue between 14455 and 14537 Woodbine Avenue from 10 AM to 2 PM on September 9 and 11.
The biggest impact comes on Thursday, September 10, when Vandorf Sideroad between Leslie Street and Warden Avenue will close from 4 PM until 7 AM the next morning. Woodbine Avenue between Bloomington Road and Aurora Road will also close that night from 9 PM to 4 AM. During the Vandorf Sideroad closure, traffic will be detoured via Aurora Road. During the Woodbine Avenue closure, traffic will use Warden Avenue. Drivers are asked to follow all posted detour signs.
