Starting May 15, 2026, people in Regina, Saskatchewan, can visit regional parks for free by borrowing a pass from their local library. The Saskatchewan Library Association is bringing back the program to help families get outside without worrying about the cost of entry.
Anyone with a valid library card can check out a pass for a seven-day loan. These passes provide access to nearly 100 regional parks across the province until the program concludes on September 8, 2026.
The Regina Public Library is participating in this initiative to make outdoor activities more accessible to residents. This project is a joint effort between the provincial library association, the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association, and the Saskatchewan Regional Parks Association.
The program aims to remove financial barriers to recreation while encouraging more residents to visit their local library branches. By offering these passes, the partner organizations hope to see more people enjoying the outdoors throughout the summer season.
