The Stouffville Spirit hockey team advanced to the second round of the playoffs on March 16, 2026, after defeating the St. Michael’s Buzzers 4-3 in Toronto.
The victory in the sixth game of the series gave the Spirit a 4-2 series win overall. The team secured the deciding goal while they had a one-man advantage on the ice, scoring at the 19:11 mark of the third period.
As the second-ranked team in the Eastern Conference, the Spirit will now move forward to face the Pickering Panthers. This next round is part of the Ontario Junior Hockey League post-season.
The first round of the tournament for teams in the region runs until March 19, 2026. The Spirit earned their high ranking and the right to play at home after a successful regular season in the league.
