An 81-year-old man from Port Alberni, British Columbia, has been charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder after a shooting on March 13, 2026, left one person dead at a local trailer park.
Herbert Crowley was identified as the person facing charges following the incident. Police were called to the scene at the trailer park where they found one person had died and another was targeted in the shooting.
The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit is now leading the investigation. They are working in coordination with the Port Alberni RCMP to gather evidence and determine what led to the violence.
