The Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Regina, Saskatchewan, is bringing back its popular seasonal activity, Scotty’s Dino Egg Hunt, this spring. The event will run from April 3 to April 10, 2026, offering local families a way to explore the galleries during the school break.
Participants will be tasked with finding 27 dinosaur eggs hidden throughout the museum. These eggs are located specifically within the Earth Sciences and Life Sciences galleries.
After finding all the eggs, visitors can use them to solve a riddle presented by Scotty, the museum’s famous Tyrannosaurus rex. Scotty is recognized as the largest T-rex skeleton in the world and serves as the central mascot for the hunt.
Those who solve the riddle can enter a draw for a chance to win a dinosaur-themed gift basket. This prize is provided through a partnership with the Museum Shop and the Friends of the Royal Saskatchewan Museum.
Admission to the museum is by donation, and staff suggest a contribution of $5 for each visitor. This recurring event is a staple of the museum’s efforts to provide educational and interactive experiences for the Regina community.
