Cornwall District Minor Baseball is hosting its Junior Invitational Tournament from June 5 to June 7, 2026, at Legion Park in Cornwall, Ontario. The event is for players aged 14 and under and expects to bring 12 teams to the local waterfront facility for the three-day competition.
Tournament director Travis Cox says teams have until May 31, 2026, to sign up for the event. This follows the official start of the season preparations, which included player tryouts held on March 20, 2026.
Legion Park features seven baseball diamonds along the St. Lawrence River and serves as the home for more than 600 players. The organization, led by president Kyle Bergeron, provides programs for families across Cornwall, Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry.
The local baseball group is currently looking for community volunteers to help run the food stands during the June tournament. Organizers say hosting these events will help the city prepare to host the 2029 Canadian Little League Championship.
