The victory marks a significant milestone for the defending national champions, who are now set to compete for the national title from April 20 to April 26, 2026, at the Peterborough Memorial Centre in Ontario. To reach the regional final, the team first defeated the Winnipeg Bruins 3-2 on April 4, 2026.
In the championship game against Moose Jaw, forward Maddox Schultz set an early tone by scoring just 18 seconds into the contest. Schultz, who was the first overall pick in the 2025 WHL Bantam Draft, added a power-play goal late in the second period to bolster the team’s lead. Goalie Adam Muntain played a crucial role in the win, recording 29 saves throughout the game.
Head coach Ryan Hodgins praised the group for their performance throughout the regional tournament. He noted the team’s resilience and described the players as character-driven athletes who consistently embrace the challenges of the season.
The Pat Canadians are currently seeking their second consecutive national title.
