The Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival returns to downtown Orangeville, Ontario, for its 22nd season from June 5 to June 7, 2026. This three-day event brings more than 40 Canadian musical acts to the community, featuring five Juno Award winners as headline performers.
The lineup includes jazz vocalist Emilie-Claire Barlow, the Blackburn Brothers, the Paul James Band, blues vocalist Miss Emily, and Alex Pangman & Her Alleycats. These performers represent a wide range of musical history and achievements, from the swing-era stylings of Pangman to the soul and blues traditions carried forward by the Blackburn Brothers, who are descendants of an Underground Railroad freedom seeker.
Recognized by Festivals and Events Ontario as one of the top 100 festivals in the province for 13 consecutive years, the event has grown significantly since its launch in 2003. Founder and artistic director Larry Kurtz started the festival with only five volunteers and an audience of about 2,000 people. Today, the event draws between 30,000 and 40,000 attendees to the area, generating approximately $2.5 million in local economic activity.
Tickets for performances at the TD Mainstage in Alexandra Park and the Opera House are currently available for purchase. Residents and visitors can also attend a variety of other festival events held at downtown restaurants, pubs, and outdoor venues, all of which remain free of charge.
