The Spruce Grove Saints are returning to their home ice on April 7, 2026, for Game 3 of their first-round playoff series against the Brooks Bandits. After falling behind 2-0 in the series during away games in Brooks, the Saints are looking for a spark from their local supporters at the Thompson Family Arena in Spruce Grove, Alberta.
The community has shown significant support for the team throughout the 2025-26 season. During the regular season, the Saints ranked sixth overall in league attendance. The team, which joined the British Columbia Hockey League in 2024, played its inaugural season at the 1,665-seat arena located at Heavy Metal Place, which first opened its doors in September 2025.
The Saints finished the regular season in fourth place within the Interior East Division with a 29-22-2-1 record. Their opponents, the Brooks Bandits, finished first in the division with a 37-11-6 record. The two teams are familiar rivals, having faced each other in six championship series while previously playing in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. The Brooks Bandits won five of those six previous matchups.
Following the games in Brooks, where the hosts secured wins of 5-2 and 4-1, the best-of-seven series continues with Games 3 and 4 in Spruce Grove on April 7 and April 8, 2026. If necessary, any remaining games will take place back in Brooks.
