The Niverville Town Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, to review three new development proposals. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM at the Community Resource and Recreation Centre, located at 501 Centre Street, where residents can share their feedback on projects ranging from community care facilities to local business expansions.
One proposal comes from Simaril Inc., a non-profit organization that provides services for adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. The group is seeking approval to convert a residence at 225 3rd Street North into a care facility. If approved, the site would support four residents with staff members on-site to provide assistance.
In addition, the Niverville Chamber of Commerce has applied to host an outdoor summer market. The proposed market would run on Thursdays from May through September in the parking lot along Arena Road, near the railway tracks.
The third application is from Peter Fot, who is requesting permission to open a recreational and electric vehicle dealership at Unit 2 at 535 Wittick Street. This location previously held a permit for storage, and the current request signals a planned expansion of business activity at the site.
Residents who wish to comment on these applications but cannot attend the meeting in person may submit written correspondence to the Town Planner. Submissions must be sent to [email protected] or dropped off at 329 Bronstone Drive by noon on April 17, 2026.
