The annual Art After Dark event will return to downtown Kingston, Ontario, on Friday, May 22, 2026. From 7 PM to 10 PM, residents and visitors can enjoy a free evening art crawl as local galleries and shops keep their doors open late.
Organized by the Downtown Kingston Business Improvement Area, the event is a long-standing community tradition designed to showcase the local arts scene. More than 25 businesses, including galleries, boutiques, and cafes, are participating in this year’s spring edition.
Attendees are encouraged to walk between venues across the downtown core to view various works of art and explore shops that typically close earlier in the day. The event is free to attend, and visitors have the opportunity to enter a draw to win $500 toward the purchase of original artwork at any participating gallery.
The business association, which has represented over 700 downtown businesses and property owners since 1973, hosts this event twice a year to promote local commerce and creativity. This year’s participants include local staples such as Agent 99, Art Noise, and Black Dog Pottery.
