A new independent spa is opening its doors in downtown Cornwall, Ontario, on April 14, 2026, adding another wellness option to the city’s growing commercial district. Located at 258 Pitt Street, Stone Haus will offer a variety of services including manicures, pedicures, facials, and waxing, along with professional skincare products available for purchase.
The business is owned and operated by Sydney Seguin, a certified esthetician who previously worked at Simply Wellness. Seguin says she has long planned to open her own space to provide high-quality, detail-oriented care to her clients.
“Opening my own spa has been a long-term goal, and I’m proud to bring that vision to life,” Seguin said. “I wanted to create a welcoming place where clients can come to relax, recharge, and feel taken care of. The word Haus gives it a cozy, boutique-style feel, like a home for self-care.”
The opening of Stone Haus is part of a larger trend of new businesses setting up shop in the downtown core. Recent additions to the area include Chuck’s Roadhouse, Creative Note Music Studio, Gear Guard Sanitization, Sweetgrass & Soul, and the return of Urban Planet to Cornwall Square. These businesses are supported by resources from the Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre, which provides entrepreneurs with coaching and development programs.
Downtown revitalization efforts, such as new lighting projects and the installation of Love Downtown Cornwall signage, continue to shape the area near the intersection of Pitt and Second Streets. While Stone Haus enters a competitive wellness market in the city, it joins a district that has seen consistent activity despite the temporary pause of the Downtown and Le Village BIA business competition known as Win This Space, which is slated to return in 2026.
Stone Haus will operate Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A grand opening celebration featuring promotional offers and giveaways is planned for later this spring.
