The Kivalliq Trade Show Society is preparing for its 18th annual event in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, which will take place from September 21 to September 23, 2026. As the organization readies for this year’s gathering, it has updated its social media presence and is encouraging participants to sign up for its official mailing list to receive registration details and vendor opportunities.
The trade show has grown into a major economic event for the region since the Kivalliq Trade Show Society began coordinating the annual event in 2009. The 2025 gathering drew 262 delegates and 58 exhibitors, and the arts and crafts market alone generated approximately $45,000 in sales over the three-day period. Because the event draws so many visitors, hotels in the community typically book up entirely, with room rates reaching $350 to $400 per night during the show.
Local artisans and vendors interested in taking part in the upcoming event are encouraged to reach out to the society coordinator at [email protected] to join the mailing list. This list will serve as the primary source for updates as the organization moves forward with planning for September.
The event is supported by investments from the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency, the Government of Nunavut, and the Kivalliq Inuit Association. These contributions assist with the society’s strategic development and the expansion of entrepreneurship programs, which aim to foster economic growth across the region.
