The town of Stony Plain is preparing for its biggest event of the year as the Farmers’ Days Rodeo and Exhibition returns to Heritage Park from June 5 to June 7, 2026. The three-day festival, which has been a local tradition for more than 50 years, is hosted through a partnership between the Town of Stony Plain and the Stony Plain Kinsmen Club.
During the event, the local service club will operate a concession stand with all proceeds going directly back into community programs. These funds support initiatives such as the Kinsmen Christmas Hampers and post-secondary bursaries for local students. In 2025 alone, the hamper program assisted 550 families, while the club also awarded presents to 850 children.
The Stony Plain Kinsmen have been active since 1979, contributing nearly 170,000 volunteer hours and raising over $10.5 million for the community over the last 47 years. The club is a member of Kin Canada, a national organization that has raised over $1 billion for Canadian communities since 1920.
With the event approaching, the club is currently looking for residents to help support the weekend festivities. Volunteers can sign up to assist with the event directly through the Stony Plain Kinsmen website.
