The Saskatchewan Science Centre in Regina is now accepting registrations for its 2026 summer day camps, offering local families a variety of science-themed programs throughout July and August.
Parents can choose from four main camp themes: Mad Science, Science Rock-Stars, All Girls: Women of Science, and Science Superstars. Prices for the programs are set at $279.20 plus GST for members and $349 plus GST for non-members for five-day camps. Four-day camps are available for $239.20 plus GST for members and $299 plus GST for non-members. Due to high interest, the Mad Science camp for children aged six to eight is already sold out.
Families can also book birthday parties through a new online system. These party packages cost $239 plus GST and PST for members and $299 plus GST and PST for non-members. Each party includes admission for 17 people, staff hosting, invitations, a personalized cake, snacks, and two science demonstrations, including Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream.
The science centre continues to host ongoing community programming. Science Time for Tots, held on the second Wednesday of each month, is priced at $20 per adult, while toddlers and members can attend for free. The next session is May 13, 2026. For adults, the Science Connections program takes place on the third Wednesday of each month, with an upcoming session on antibiotic resistance scheduled for May 20, 2026.
Visitors can currently explore the Earth in Focus: Insights From Space traveling exhibition, developed in partnership with Ingenium and the Canadian Space Agency. This exhibit focuses on space-based Earth observation. Additionally, the Kramer IMAX Theatre remains open to the public, featuring digital laser projection technology. For those interested in evening events, an Adult Science Night titled Destination Moon will be held on May 29, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, featuring robotics demonstrations and telescope viewing.
