Residents of Spruce Grove have a new opportunity to provide input on the city’s future through an online survey regarding the draft 2026-2029 Strategic Plan. The City of Spruce Grove is collecting feedback until May 8, 2026, to help shape the city’s priorities for the coming years.
The draft plan focuses on four main themes: Building Community, Communications Excellence, Economic Opportunity, and Strategic Partnerships. According to the city, these themes were developed based on concerns and ideas shared by residents and business owners during the 2025 municipal election campaign.
Mayor Jeff Acker and councillors Spencer Bennett, Danielle Carter, Jan Gillett, Brad Mastaler, Erin Stevenson, and Jeff Tokar worked with city staff to create the draft based on that campaign feedback. The city encourages residents to use the online survey to share their perspectives on whether these priorities align with the needs of the community.
This engagement process is part of the city’s broader efforts to involve the public in decision-making, which also includes the use of the Connect Spruce Grove online engagement platform. With a population of 44,575, Spruce Grove continues to be one of the faster-growing cities in Alberta, making long-term planning a key focus for local government.
