The Town of Orangeville has $58,000 in funding available for local groups through its 2026 Community Grants Program, with final decisions from Council expected later this month.
The first application period for this funding closed on March 31, 2026. This year, the town moved to an online-only application process for all interested not-for-profit, charitable, and youth organizations. According to the Town of Orangeville, this change was implemented to help ensure the application process remains fair and consistent for all groups.
To qualify for a grant, organizations must show they offer a clear benefit to the community, demonstrate financial need, and ensure their services are available to local residents on an equal basis. Applications are currently being reviewed by Headwaters Communities in Action, a local citizens group that partners with the town to assemble assessment teams. These teams score the submissions and provide formal recommendations to the Town of Orangeville Council for final approval.
The town has indicated that if any portion of the $58,000 remains after the first round of funding is distributed, a second intake period may open later in 2026.
