Local business owners and community organizations in Cornwall, Ontario, are invited to attend the 2026 Funders Forum on Tuesday, June 2, to learn about available financial support and resources. The free event will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Best Western Parkway Inn & Conference Centre, located at 1515 Vincent Massey Dr.
The forum is presented by Cornwall Economic Development, SDG Counties Economic Development, and the Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre. This collaborative effort serves as a one-stop shop for businesses, non-profit groups, and non-government organizations across Cornwall, SDG, and Akwesasne to connect with representatives from more than 10 regional organizations.
Mireille Lemire, a business advisor with the Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre, noted that the complexity of the current funding landscape can be a hurdle for many entrepreneurs. She explained that the event aims to provide the clarity and connections necessary for business owners to plan confidently and move their ideas forward. The program will feature presentations on various funding opportunities, followed by a showcase that allows attendees to speak directly with program representatives.
This event marks the third time the forum has been held in the city, following previous sessions in 2016 and 2025. While the forum is free to attend, registration is required for all participants. Light breakfast refreshments will be provided during the morning session.
