The Inn of the Good Shepherd is preparing to host its annual Surf INN Turf gala in Point Edward on June 11, 2026. The fundraising event will take place at the Four Points by Sheraton, located at 1498 Venetian Boulevard.
The evening features dinner, games, prizes, and both live and silent auctions. Tickets are available for $150 per person or $1,150 for a table of eight. The event is supported by platinum sponsor Hughes Intelligence.
Proceeds from the gala support the organization’s ongoing community programs, which provide essential services to over 2,400 people every month, including 940 children. The programs run by the group include a food bank that distributes 75,000 pounds of food monthly, a soup kitchen that provides more than 100 warm meals every day, and emergency shelters that accommodate an average of 40 people each night.
Founded in 1981, the organization also manages income tax clinics, a mobile market, and clothing programs. This year’s gala follows a leadership transition for the group, as Jack Christine took over as executive director in January 2026. He succeeded longtime leader Myles Vanni, who retired after 20 years of service.
