The City of Spruce Grove is looking to fill two casual roles to support its recreation facilities as the community continues to experience rapid population growth. Residents have until June 1, 2026, to apply for the positions of Maintenance Service Worker and Facility Attendant.
These roles are part of the city’s Recreation and Culture division, which manages local sites such as Heavy Metal Place, which opened in May 2025. Both positions are unionized under the International Union of Operating Engineers and require availability for shift work, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
The Maintenance Service Worker position offers an hourly wage ranging from $31.68 to $33.93. Meanwhile, the Facility Attendant position pays between $22.98 and $26.42 per hour. These recruitment efforts come as the city manages the increased demand for services following a period of significant growth, with the population reaching approximately 44,575 residents by 2025.
To protect against fraudulent activity, the city is reminding residents that all official job applications must be submitted through the city’s online careers portal. The municipal government has issued warnings regarding scammers impersonating city employees on third-party job boards and advises applicants to avoid submitting personal information through unofficial channels.
