The fourth annual Stouffville Main Street 5K returns to Whitchurch-Stouffville on Sunday, June 21, 2026, bringing road closures to the downtown core and raising funds for the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation.
The event is hosted by the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville and the office of Mayor Iain Lovatt. Residents should expect detours from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. as several streets will be closed to vehicle traffic. These closures include Main Street from Park Drive to Mostar Street, Burkholder Street from Park Drive to Franklin Street, and Park Drive from north of the Leisure Centre south entrance to Main Street.
Following a successful 2025 event that raised $330,000 with more than 1,300 participants, the fundraiser has collected over $875,000 for the hospital over the past three years. All proceeds go toward non-government-funded equipment and services, such as hospital beds and diagnostic tools.
Activities on June 21 begin at Stouffville Memorial Park, with the main race starting at 8:30 a.m. A Kids 1K Dash for children aged 12 and under will follow at 10:00 a.m. Those interested in participating must register by June 14, 2026, through Race Roster.
