Residents in Regina should prepare for a warming trend this week as temperatures climb following a recent frost advisory. According to Environment Canada, a frost advisory was issued on May 18, 2026, marking the third consecutive night of such alerts across Saskatchewan.
The city is currently experiencing below-seasonal temperatures, with conditions reported at -1°C and fog patches. While the average date for the last spring frost in Regina is May 20, current forecasts indicate that conditions will begin to improve significantly.
Tuesday is expected to bring mainly sunny skies with a high of 14°C. By Wednesday, The Weather Network reports a risk of thunderstorms with a 60 per cent chance of precipitation, bringing an expected 1 to 3 millimetres of rain and a high of 17°C.
The warming trend will continue through the end of the week, with temperatures reaching 22°C on Saturday and 23°C by Sunday. Residents are encouraged to cover plants that may be vulnerable to the lingering frost as the region transitions to warmer weather.
