The County of Brant has announced the return of its free outdoor movie series, Movies in the Park, for the 2026 summer season. Running from May 29 through September 18, the program will feature five film screenings at various community parks, with all events starting at dusk.
The series is made possible through the support of Riverside Heating & Air Conditioning Inc., which is serving as the exclusive sponsor for this year’s screenings. The move to a single sponsor follows last year’s format, which included two co-sponsors for the outdoor movie events.
The 2026 lineup kicks off at Paris Optimist Park on May 29 with a showing of Freakier Friday. The series continues with Zootopia 2 on June 5 at Forest Drive Park, Hoppers on July 10 at Mount Pleasant Park, Bad Guys 2 on August 21 at King William Park in St. George, and concludes with Toy Story 5 on September 18 at the Scotland Community Centre.
Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks to the screenings. As part of the program, the county will collect non-perishable food donations at each location to support local food banks.
The return of these park programs signals the official start of the summer season, the County noted. This year’s series begins in late May, offering an earlier start to local outdoor entertainment compared to the 2025 season, which launched in mid-August.
