The Downtown Stratford Business Improvement Area is bringing its Annual Sidewalk Sale back to the city core on Saturday, July 11, 2026. From 10 AM to 5 PM, residents and visitors can browse deals from 20 participating local businesses as the community event returns for another year of shopping and activities in Stratford, Ontario.
Shoppers looking to make the most of the day can participate in the Passport to Savings program. By collecting stamps from three participating businesses, attendees can enter a draw for a chance to win $100 in Downtown Dollars. Completed passports can be dropped off at the BIA tent or at Destination Stratford by 5 PM. Additionally, those who spend $100 or more during the event will be eligible for a draw for a pair of Stratford Festival tickets.
Families can visit Memorial Gardens, which will feature a fishing pond for children. The area will also offer free popcorn and temporary tattoos throughout the day. Young resident Jake Shiell will be hosting his lemonade stand from 11 AM to 3 PM, with all donations supporting the Cassie + Friends Society to assist with juvenile arthritis research, education, and support.
The sidewalk sale was first revived by the business organization in 2023 following a hiatus of nearly 15 years. The event is part of the ongoing efforts led by the Downtown Stratford Business Improvement Area, which represents more than 400 local property and business owners, to host vibrant community experiences in the downtown area.
