Parents in Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County can soon sign their kids up for summer activities at the TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre. Registration for the 2026 Summer Program Guide opens Tuesday, June 16 for members, and Thursday, June 18 for non-members.
The summer lineup includes swim lessons, summer day camps, and fitness classes for all ages. The popular camps run weekly from July 6 through August 21, each with a different theme to keep things fresh. The full list of themes is: Galactic Explorers, Spy Kids Academy, Under the Sea, TRI-lympics, Storybook Adventures, Dino Discovery, and Superhero Training. Campers can expect swimming on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, skating on Thursdays, plus field games, crafts, playground time, and Nerf battle tournaments.
Members get a 48-hour head start on registration, so families who want first crack at the limited spots may want to look into a membership ahead of time. All registration is first-come, first-served, and past summers show that the most sought-after camps and swim lesson times fill up fast.
The Tri Leisure Centre is a not-for-profit facility jointly owned by the City of Spruce Grove, the Town of Stony Plain, and Parkland County.
