Four people are facing charges after police found break-in tools, weapons, ammunition, and a variety of drugs including fentanyl, MDMA, and cocaine inside a secured sea can in an industrial area of Ajax, Ontario. Officers from the Durham Regional Police Service West Division Community Response Unit spotted two people entering the container near Commercial Avenue and Hunt Street on the morning of May 22, 2026.
The arrests happened around 8:55 a.m. as officers were conducting proactive patrols in the area. They watched two individuals go into the container, then moved in and detained all four suspects without incident, according to police.
Once inside, officers searched the four people and found break-in tools, cash, weapons, ammunition, and drugs. The seized substances included fentanyl, MDMA, and cocaine. Investigators say the container was secured, and the suspects did not have permission to be there.

He is charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled substance (fentanyl and cocaine), possession of a dangerous weapon, breaking and entering, possessing break-in instruments, and failing to comply with a release order. Police say George was already under weapons prohibition conditions at the time of his arrest.
Jefferson Kempes McQuillan, 47, who has no fixed address, is charged with breaking and entering, possessing break-in instruments, trafficking MDMA, and failing to comply with an undertaking. He was also under weapons prohibition conditions when arrested.
Fabien Belanga Lwamba, 30, of Oshawa and Ashley Suzanne Magee, 38, also with no fixed address, both face charges of breaking and entering and possessing break-in instruments. All four were held for bail hearings following their arrest.
