Cornwall will host an evening of music, fashion, and art on June 13, 2026, as the Festival International Afro & Diversités de Cornwall SDG holds its annual Diversity Gala at the Mo Events venue. The gala invites everyone to celebrate the many cultures that shape the community in Cornwall and the surrounding Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry region.
The signature event is organized by Festival International Afro & Diversités de Cornwall SDG, a local group focused on inclusion and cultural awareness. Flora Cynthia Kra, founder and president of the festival, and Myriam Darveau, president of International Afro & Diversity Canada, lead the effort to bring people together through shared cultural experiences.
The gala promises an elegant night of performances that highlight global traditions. According to the event page on Cornwall Tourism, guests can expect curated music, fashion shows, and artistic displays that showcase the richness of cultural expression in the community and beyond.
The June gala serves as a mid-year highlight separate from the festival’s main three-day summer event. That larger gathering, now in its third year, will take place July 10-12 at Lamoureux Park in Cornwall. The 2025 summer festival attracted more than 6,400 people through pre-festival activities and the weekend celebrations, and organizers expect 2026 to be even bigger.
The Diversity Gala is open to all residents who want to celebrate multiculturalism in Cornwall. More details and tickets are available through the festival’s website or by contacting the organizers at 613-363-3123.
