Two people were arrested and a stash of fentanyl, crystal meth, and weapons was taken off a Montreal Street property in Kingston, Ontario, on June 4, 2026, after a targeted raid by city police.
The Kingston Police Emergency Response Unit executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at the home that afternoon. Inside, officers found fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, a digital scale, packaging materials, a conducted energy weapon, replica firearms, and a sum of cash believed to be profits from drug sales.
A 34-year-old and a 38-year-old, both from Kingston, were taken into custody and each now faces three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, along with charges for possessing property obtained by crime and weapons offences. They were held for a bail hearing and are set to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice.
Kingston Police Chief Adam MacIntosh said the operation shows the force’s ongoing push to disrupt dangerous drug activity in the city. “Public safety remains our highest priority,” Chief MacIntosh said. “This investigation demonstrates the continued dedication of our officers to disrupting the distribution of dangerous substances in Kingston. We will continue to prioritize these efforts and work closely with the community to support the safety and well-being of all residents.”
The investigation was led by the Street Crime Unit and began earlier this spring. The Emergency Response Unit, a specialized team that handles high-risk calls involving weapons and drugs, made the entry and arrests.
