Collingwood residents can start booking summer swim lessons at the Centennial Aquatic Centre on June 23, 2026, with online registration opening at 7:00 a.m. The two-day head start gives locals the best chance at securing spots before non-residents can register on June 25.
All registrations happen online through the Xplor Recreation system, and phone sign-ups are not accepted. The Town of Collingwood is asking families to log into their accounts well ahead of time to confirm their home address is current and all family members are linked properly. An outdated address could mean missing out on the resident registration date altogether.
The Centennial Aquatic Centre, run by the town’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department at 451 Third Street, updated its Swim for Life program earlier this spring. New levels like Preschool Prep, Intro to Swimmer, and Intro to Lifesaving were introduced to help swimmers build skills with more confidence and clearer progress steps.
The facility has been a community fixture since 1967 and operates as an affiliate of the Lifesaving Society. Its main pool is a 25-metre, six-lane setup kept at 81 degrees, while the warm-water pool sits at 91 degrees, offering comfortable conditions for lessons and casual swimming alike.
