The County of Stettler No. 6 launched three new online resources on June 30, 2026, to help local businesses, agricultural producers, and community organizations find services, funding, and training opportunities. The tools are available now at www.StettlerCounty.ca/Business.
The new Business & Services Directory lets residents and visitors search for local businesses and service providers across the county, including the villages of Big Valley and Donalda, the summer villages of Rochon Sands and White Sands, and service providers in the Town of Stettler. Businesses can be listed at no charge.
The Grants & Funding Resources section offers a starting point for local organizations, producers, and entrepreneurs looking for financial support, while the Training Resources hub connects employers and workers with skill-building and development opportunities.
The project was funded by a $90,000 grant from the Alberta government’s Small Community Opportunity Program, which supports rural economic development. The county worked with C4ner Consulting, a Sylvan Lake-based firm, to build the resources after surveying local businesses, agricultural producers, and community partners about their needs.
“The County of Stettler is committed to supporting rural economic development and helping local businesses, organizations and producers access practical tools and information,” said Reeve Larry Clarke. “These new online resources are intended to improve visibility, make information easier to find and support the people who live, work, invest and do business in the County of Stettler.”
The launch is the first phase of a larger economic development project. A second phase, an Investment and Attraction website with data, mapping, and investment-focused content for businesses and developers, is planned for fall 2026.
