The Town of Bridgewater has released the full lineup for its free Music on the Riverbank concert series, which shifts to Thursday evenings this summer at Pijinuiskaq Park along the LaHave River. The 14-week season kicks off June 18 and runs through September 17, with shows starting at 6:30 p.m.

The move from Tuesday to Thursday nights is new for 2026, giving residents a chance to get an early start on the weekend. The town selected 14 acts from more than 80 performers who wanted to take part, promising a mix of local and regional talent.

The series opens with the Patricia Watson Quartet, a jazz and gospel group from East LaHave. Other highlights include T3KILLAH, also known as Tevin Standing Brownbear, on July 9, and Tharangam Lunenburg with its traditional Indian Chenda Melam drumming on July 30. The full lineup is available on the town’s website.

All shows are free to attend. If rain threatens, the concerts move indoors, and the town posts updates on Explore Bridgewater Events and its Facebook page.

Pijinuiskaq Park, located on King Street in downtown Bridgewater, opened in 2017 after a $5 million project to reclaim the riverfront. Its name, pronounced BE-JN-OO-IS-GAH, is the traditional Mi’kmaw word for the LaHave River, meaning ‘having long joints or branches.’

After the regular series wraps up, the fifth annual Harvest Moon Music Festival takes over downtown Bridgewater from September 17 to 19, presented by Arby’s in Bridgewater.
