Ponoka, Alberta, is encouraging residents to host garage and yard sales the weekend of July 17 to 19 as part of the town’s fourth annual Community-Wide Garage Sale.
Homeowners can set up sales on one, two, or all three days, and those wanting to be included on the official community map must submit their address, dates, and times by the end of Sunday, July 12. Submissions can be made through the town’s website or by calling 403-783-0131.
The map showing all registered sale locations will be posted online during the week of July 13, making it easy for shoppers to plan their treasure-hunting routes.
The event follows closely on the heels of the 90th Ponoka Stampede, which wrapped up on July 1 after drawing thousands of visitors to the community. Town officials hope the momentum from that major event will bring more bargain hunters to neighbourhoods across Ponoka.
“We are excited to host the community-wide garage sale event for the fourth year in a row,” Mayor Kevin Ferguson said in 2025. “This event is a lot of fun for our community and also draws visitors to Ponoka.”
Residents are invited to declutter their homes while engaging with neighbours and welcoming shoppers from across central Alberta.
