Bracebridge, Ontario will begin its yearly roadside mowing program the week of July 6, 2026, with crews covering about 300 kilometres of municipal roads to improve drainage and sightlines for drivers, cyclists, and walkers.
The Town of Bracebridge Public Works says most of the work will happen along rural roads, but some urban spots will also be cut. If needed, a second round will target certain areas in August.
Before the mowers roll through, residents are asked to pick up debris like wood, metal, waste, and recycling bins from the roadside. Hidden obstacles such as drainage pipes or old posts should be marked with flagging tape so operators can see them.
Drivers should give mowing equipment plenty of room and only pass when it is safe. Residents are also reminded to keep children and pets well away from the work.
