Collingwood, Ontario residents can expect a warm and mostly sunny week starting July 6, 2026, with daytime highs reaching 28 degrees Celsius, according to Environment Canada.
The forecast calls for mainly sunny skies on Monday with a high of 28 degrees, a humidex of 34, and a very high UV index of 8. Tuesday will bring a mix of sun and cloud with the same temperature and humidex, and an even higher UV index of 9.
Environment Canada advises that when the UV index is 8 or above, it is very high, and people should limit sun exposure, especially between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. They recommend wearing UV protection sunglasses, staying in the shade, and reapplying sunscreen every two hours, or after swimming or sweating a lot.
The sunny conditions continue Wednesday with a high of 28 degrees, before a brief change on Thursday. Cloud cover rolls in with a 40 percent chance of showers and a slightly cooler high of 27 degrees. Friday sees a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 percent chance of showers and a high of 26 degrees. The weekend is expected to clear up with sunny skies and a high of 26 degrees on Saturday.
The humidex values around 34 fall into the “some discomfort” range, where Environment Canada suggests limiting or modifying outdoor exercise. Heat warnings are not expected, as extremely high humidex readings above 40 are rare, typically occurring only in southern Ontario, Manitoba, and Quebec.
The good weather aligns well with Collingwood’s summer event season, which includes free outdoor concerts and waterfront activities. The Town of Collingwood has a lineup of family-friendly events this month, including Live and Original concerts on July 4 and 18, with more festivals planned in August.
