Residents of Carberry and the surrounding area can now plan their summer outings at the local outdoor pool. The Municipality of North Cypress-Langford posted the public swim times on July 7, 2026, giving families a clear look at when they can hit the water for the rest of the season.
The pool is run out of the Carberry Plains Community Centre at 500 Stickle Avenue. It is a shared facility between the municipality and the Town of Carberry, and it offers a lot more than just lap swimming. Families can enjoy a kiddy pool, a waterslide, aquafit classes, and Red Cross swimming lessons throughout the summer.
The timing of the schedule release lines up with the start of the school break, giving parents and kids a chance to lock in their summer routines. The notice comes a few weeks after the two councils approved an updated Pool Policy in May 2026, refreshing the rules that keep the facility safe and welcoming for everyone.
Robyn Brydges, the Manager of Arts and Recreation for both the town and the municipality, oversaw that policy update. Residents who want to know more about swim times or other recreation programs can reach Brydges at 204-834-6623 or by email at [email protected]. The pool also got a boost this year when council sponsored the Canada Day Barbecue held there, splitting the $600 cost between the two local governments.
The outdoor pool at the community centre is a cornerstone of summer in Carberry. With the public swim times now posted, families can head to the municipality’s website to see the full breakdown and make the most of the warm weather.
