The 81st annual Alberni District Fall Fair has locked in its entertainment for September 10–12, 2026, with Vancouver country artist JoJo Mason headlining Saturday night at the fairgrounds on Hollywood Street in Port Alberni, BC.
Mason brings a string of hits to the stage, including his CRIA Gold-certified single “Better On You,” six Top 10 tracks, and multiple Canadian country music award nominations. Organizers say he has racked up more than 50 million career streams.
The three-day main stage lineup kicks off Thursday with Port Alberni’s own Brad Lovell playing a solo acoustic set, followed by a karaoke contest and a surf-rock set from Vancouver Island band Los Borrachos. Friday’s bill offers a Tragically Hip tribute from Victoria’s Nautical Disaster and a set from 80’s Ladies, a tribute to female artists of the 1980s. Saturday closes with JoJo Mason from 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Local talent is woven throughout the schedule. The Porter Bros.—three brothers from the Cowichan Valley who write and perform their own music—will appear, alongside the ATCR Karaoke Contest. Brad Lovell, who has fronted bands since the 1980s and now lives between Port Alberni and Vancouver, anchors Thursday’s early evening.
The fair has been a fixture in the Alberni Valley for decades, with logger sports dating back to the early 1900s. This year’s event also features midway rides from West Coast Amusements, agricultural exhibits, and a parade.
Gate ticket details are still being finalized and will be posted on the fair’s website. Online ticket holders can use a dedicated advance line at the main gate.
