The Town of Carstairs is inviting local service clubs, sports groups, non-profits and community organizations to take part in a free Community Connections Evening on August 25, 2026. The event runs from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Carstairs Curling Rink (315 Veterans Way) and gives groups a chance to showcase programs, recruit volunteers and connect with residents.
Organized by the Town’s Community Services Department, the evening will include hotdogs and family activities. Groups can register using a Google Form or by calling the department at 403-940-3327.
The curling rink, located at 315 Veterans Way, is normally managed by the Carstairs Curling Club from October to the end of March and by the Carstairs and District Agricultural Society in the summer months. The venue will host tables and displays where organizations can talk directly with residents about what they offer.
Carstairs is home to several volunteer-driven groups, including the Carstairs Elks Lodge, Carstairs and District Lions Club, Carstairs Minor Hockey, 4-H clubs and Mountain View Seniors Housing. The Community Services Department says its vision is a thriving community with an abundance of recreational and cultural services, and the Connections Evening is one way it supports leadership training and events that build community spirit.
