The Town of Bracebridge is looking for resident feedback on what new playground equipment should go into Covered Bridge Park and Springdale Park. The town announced the survey on July 15, 2026, with a goal of figuring out the types of play features most wanted by the community.
Covered Bridge Park sits at 22 Lankin Avenue, while Springdale Park can be found at 1048 Springdale Park Road. Residents can share their thoughts through the online Engage Bracebridge platform, which the town uses for many of its public consultations.
The feedback will help decide what play opportunities get added when the playground equipment is replaced. The town is focused on making sure the upgrades match what local families actually want to see in their neighbourhood parks.
This survey is part of a bigger push by Bracebridge to improve its parks and recreation spaces. The town runs 38 municipal parks spread over about 112 hectares, along with around 72 kilometres of trails. Back in April 2026, the General Committee approved a long-term framework for parks and public water access, giving a clearer path for future upgrades.
The push for community input is not new. In March 2026, the town ran two surveys to help shape recreation programs, showing it wants residents to have a real say in what happens. The current park projects follow the town’s Recreation, Parks and Trails Master Plan, which was adopted in 2018 and runs through 2032. The plan was built with community help and guides how the town invests in its outdoor spaces.
