The Stratford Public Library is inviting residents 19 and older to an after-hours summer happy hour this Friday, July 24, 2026, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at its main floor location on St. Andrew Street in Stratford, Ontario. The free event will feature a live performance by the Kinnaris Women’s Choir and a cash bar from Black Swan Brewing Company, offering a casual evening of music and community connection.
The Kinnaris Women’s Choir, a Stratford-based chamber ensemble led by founder and artistic director Sharon Poelstra, will perform from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The group returned from a five-year COVID-related hiatus in 2025. “Many community choirs didn’t return post-COVID and were forced to fold. We’re so happy we did not,” Poelstra told StratfordToday.
The cash bar will be provided by Black Swan Brewing Company, a local microbrewery founded in 2014 by former educators Bruce Pepper and Ryan Stokes. Library Happy Hour is a recurring summer program that launched in June 2025 as a way to use library space in new ways and foster community ties. Visitors should note that the Ontario & St. Andrew intersection near the library is closed for construction, but pedestrian access remains open via Church Street.
